Samsung Galaxy S Duos 3-VE Android KitKat smartphone launched, priced at Rs 6,650: Specifications and features

Samsung has quietly launched a new smartphone called the Galaxy S Duos 3-VE. As the name suggests it is an upgraded variant of the Galaxy S Duos 3, which went on sale in India back in September. The smartphone is priced at Rs 6,650 and is on sale via the company’s India e-Store.

As far as specifications are concerned, the Galaxy S Duos 3-VE flaunts a 4-inch WVGA (800×480 pixels) display and is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor paired with 512MB of RAM. Also included is 4GB internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 64GB using a microSD card.

The smartphone also features a 5-megapixel rear camera, 1,500mAh battery, and connectivity options like dual-SIM card slots, 3G support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth. On the software front, it runs on Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box.

In comparison, the original Galaxy S Duos 3 featured a 4-inch WVGA (800×480 pixels) display, 1GHz dual-core processor paired with 512MB of RAM. Also included are 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, 4GB internal storage, and a 1,500mAh battery.

At this price point, the smartphone is easily outclassed by the likes of the Xiaomi Redmi 1S, Huawei Honor Holly, and the Lenovo A6000 among others.
